    About us . . . . . . .

Nicky . . .

I was born 1st January 1966, I have 2 sisters Karen & Amanda and a brother Carl.

I have always been involved with dogs from a really early age, my parents had corgi's. I started in the show world in the mid 70's, when my parents bought me a Pembroke corgi, Candy 'Linkaway Princess Candy' from Ann Baker of Fritton. By this time we had Boxers which we all showed.

In the late 70's, me and my mum had our first Boston terrier, 'Toby' Glenfolly Mr Chips from the late Chris Coley. We done really well and we got another Boston called 'Maggie' Beendee Miss Margaret from Doreen & Bob Bruce.

Time went on, I met my first husband and my first son Brendan was born in 1985. My second son Karl was born in 1987.

I had my first Poodle ‘Winnie’ from Penny Evans and Dave Jenkins of the Bedingfield Poodles, and since had several others, doing very well with all of them. I carried on the Elfisk line with ‘Bernard’ Elfisk Here I Come and ‘Shirley’ Elfisk Somebody To Love. Later I bought in from Rosie Mott 'Emma' - Roseala Whispering Mist, who had numerous BOBs.

In 2003 I bought ‘Abbie’ Keithlin’s Kami Knickers from Keith Storey, whom has done extremely well for me in the show ring but has now retired.

In 2004, I met Richard Gunn of the Katanga Affix who owned Afghans, we decided to marry in July 2005, in January 11th 2006 our baby Charlotte was born, weighing in at 9lbs 3oz.

In July 2006 I decided I would like to go back into Boston Terriers again, so we bought our ‘Woody’ Manorcourt Matchmaker from Diane Stevenson, he is out of the Norwegian champion ‘Eclipse’ Man In Motion & Bonny Babes Rockahula Baby.

I'm now showing 'Daizee' Katanga Kauzin Kaos which was a puppy we kept from Abbie, she is doing quite well.

That’s me, I hope you enjoy our website!

Richard . . .

I had my first Afghan in June 1991, called ‘Sophie’ Czhemara Madi Gina, but didn't start showing until 1992 when he acquired a red bitch ‘Sasha’ Zharook Sarakavahn Sashumada. She did reasonably well, winning her Stud Book No. and many best veterans in show awards.

Next came a black boy ‘Nanas’ - Zushkhans Ultimate Choice. ‘Nanas’ also gained his Stud Book No. and won two BIS awards at open show level within a fortnight of each one. Then I had his nephew ‘Tonka’ Bashanabad Swordsman, who also gained his Stud Book No.

My next Afghan was ‘Jasmine’ Allakari Wyandot - she now had a litter of puppies of which we are keeping one - 'Zoe' Katanga's Candy Prefume Girl.

My life changed for the better as having been divorced for some 8 years I then met Nicky and we made plans then for our future together. We have so much in common in that we both enjoy all aspects of the dog show world from showing to judging. I am actively involved with the Western Afghan Hound Club as show manager, a job which is both challenging and rewarding and one that is a pleasure to do.

As for the future - who knows?
